FBH spin-off project: 2. place for BeamXpert at Businessplan-Wettbewerb

On July 13, 2017, FBH scientists Dr. Bernd Eppich and Dr. Guido Mann were honored with the second place, obtained in the final round of Businessplan-Wettbewerb Berlin-Brandenburg (BPW - business plan competition) for their optics simulation program BeamXpert Designer. The properties of laser radiation can be tailored precisely to different applications and requirements with this software, may it be laser materials processing or medical technology. BeamXpert Designer combines two complementary modelling approaches, enabling to configure laser beam control systems exceedingly quick and exact - a unique feature. 

BeamXpert is a spin-off project currently supported by an EXIST Gründerstipendium (founder grant) under the working title "DOBSY – Designer for Optical Beam Systems"; formation of the company is planned for October 2017.
