Abstract:
This work presents a novel topology for the design and realization of a dualband microwave filter combining for the first time single and dual-mode cavities in all-inductive waveguide technology. The filter response includes one transmission zero between the two pass-bands for maximum isolation. The dualband filter has been synthesized, designed, manufactured and successfully tested in order to demonstrate the validity of the proposal. The relevant aspects related to the filter synthesis procedure, required to obtain the associated coupling topology, and key stored energy considerations, are also addressed in this paper.
