Abstract:

Single-mode red emitting diode lasers are still not readily available for many wavelengths. Here, we present diode lasers near the krypton ionwavelength of 647.1 nm, which exhibit a lateral and longitudinal singlemode emission of more than 100 mW. The spectral linewidth is well below 10 MHz destining the lasers for high coherence applications such as interferometry or holographic 3D-imaging.
