Paul Crump is running for the Board of Governors of the IEEE Photonics Society – vote now!

FBH news: 28.07.2020

As of now, members of the IEEE Photonics Society can elect their representatives to the Board of Governors. The members of the Board help shaping the future direction of the society in the interest of its members and the community itself. Eight selected members are nominated for election, who are distinguished by their broad interest, reputation in the community and previous involvement in the Photonics Society. The four candidates with the most votes are appointed for a 3-year period.

You may vote for Paul Crump, who runs the High-Power Diode Lasers Lab at the Ferdinand-Braun-Institut. He has many years of experience in research and development of high-power diode lasers as well as in the organization of workshops and as chair at conferences. Therefore, his application emphasizes – among other things – the intensive professional exchange within the scope of IEEE Photonics Society conferences, workshops and public events.
