High power femtosecond diode laser systems

Femtosecond (fs) laser technology is promising for many new applications including fundamental research, metrology, and material processing. While the high price and enormous complexity of conventional fs-laser sources prevents their use in mass applications, the fs diode laser systems presented here offer a compact, powerful, and cost effective alternative in the near infrared spectral regime around 850 nm.
