Abstract:

We present Yb:KGW lasers at 1-GHz and 2.4-GHz repetition rate generating sub-300-fs pulses with >2.2-W average power and >38% optical-to-optical efficiency. At 1 GHz, we generate an octave-spanning supercontinuum without further amplification in a photonic-crystal-fiber.
